Retired Assistant Commissioner Alan Clarke is the Former Commander of the NSW Police Major Events and Incidents Group (MEIG). The MEIG managed all high risk public order response and major event planning.

Former Assistant Commissioner Alan Clarke was the principal sponsor of the Command Level Training Program which incorporated the Incident Commanders Course (ICC).

In addition, Former Assistant Commissioner Clarke was the Corporate Spokesperson for the use of TASER by NSW Police and oversaw the introduction of both TASER and Body
Worn Video into front line policing in NSW.

Former Assistant Commissioner Clarke travelled to the UK, Berlin and Zurich to review security operations for major events. He also developed security plans and costs for government bids for events such World Cup Soccer, International Monetary Fund Annual General Meeting and G20 Leaders conference.

Former Assistant Commissioner Alan Clarke has 40 years experience with NSW Police.

Alan Clarke is now the Director of Acknowledg Pty Ltd, he provides a range of consulting services, however he specialises in the facilitation of Emergency Management Discussion Exercises and speaking engagements
